NEW MUSIC: Twist – “Soaked” (Surf/Fuzz Rock//Toronto, ON)

Twist reflects on the pain of reworking old songs with “Soaked”.

An appropriate title for the latest sun and reverb “soaked” single from the Laura Hermiston and Brian Borchedt (Holy Fuck) project and the first single since joining Toronto label Buzz Records. Working with Crocodiles member Charles Rowell, who provided those stormy guitars, Hermiston brought life to the track while the task of re-mixing older tracks was getting her down. You can hear the slight frustation in the grit of her voice as she sings out “We ain’t got time, it’s got us,” but why not hear it for yourself in the player below.
