Saskatoon electro duo may have cut down on members but haven’t cut down on their sound.
Since their beginning as a six piece back in 2008, former romantic partners Ash Lamothe and Elsa Gebremichael have kept the musical partnership going in the conveniently name We Were Lovers, even after reducing the group to a duo. The pair is set to release an album to follow up the 2013 LP Pyramids starting things off with the synth heavy dream pop melodies and charismatic vocals of “Glory Days”.
Although more details can be given about the upcoming album we can say it will drop later this year. Until then enjoy the 80s inspired and uplifting single below.
