The boys from Ham Town go for doom and gloom in the latest track “Dark Planet”.
Pet Sun are no strangers to the strange and psychedelic when it comes to their music and “Dark Planet” is no exception. Starting things off slow with rhythmic guitar and chimes before gearing up toward heavy hitting bass lines and guitar riffs that carry us through this fuzzed out, slow burner.
Stephane Tremblay, from the group says the track is “best enjoyed late at night in a dark room lit by a few candles with a fresh pizza delivered by Satan himself,” while continues to say, “This song is a lot slower than what we usually write. It works off some 90’s vibes with a splash of doom to help get some heads banging.
We like to think that if the Phantom of the Opera went solo he’d put this on his record.”
“Dark Planet” will appear on the upcoming EP Shade Driver due out December 4th via The Hand Recordings.
